So far it has been all Scotlandville, as the Hornets led the Blue Jays early on as they have really shot the 3 very well. 2nd Quarter: 32-29 Scotlandville

Early on in the second quarter SMHS has targeted big 6'8" sophomore Zarif Basil as the Hornets start on a 4-0 run to begin period behind two easy layups by Basil before Jesuit answers with a Keifer jumper at the 6: 22 mark to cut the lead to 26-19 Scotlandville. Following the Keifer jumper, Hadden answered with a beautiful backdoor and followed that with another layup and got fouled but missed the free throw. Jesuit would then get a steal and a Scelfo layup to take the lead at 27-26. SMHS stopped the Jays 8-0 run on a pair of Washington free throws to take a 30-27 lead with 2:37 left in the half. For the rest of the half it has been back and forth Scelfo got fould going to the rim and made both free throws. As the half ended, Scotlandville turned a Jesuit turnover into a bucket to get the halftime score.
