On Saturday night it was a classic battle of two highly talented teams and two teams picked to be in the finals of their respective state championship games, Bossier in 4A and Christian Life in 1A. With four starters back for both teams and the main players back, this game was destined for greatness and it didn't disappoint. Bossier jumped out early with an 8-0 early in the 1st quarter. Within minutes, CLA went back to fundamentals and went on a run of their own as they were down 8-7 midway through the first. After tough defense by both teams, Bossier led 11-10 after 1. In the second quarter it was all CLA as they used their height advantage to score inside and led 19-15 with 4:37 left. CLA continued to flex it's muscle as tourney MVP Langston Galloway stepped it up with a couple highlight reel dunks before halftime. One where he jumped outside the lane for the one-handed dunk and another baseline off dribble-drive with two hands. CLA took the halftime lead 23-18. Galloway led the way with 6, while Devonte Francis had 7 for Bossier.
The second half began much the same way the first ended, as CLA took a 29-23 lead with 3:03 left in the quarter as they got to outrunning Bossier in the quarter. and took a 33-30 lead as Bossier started a comeback behind junior Guard Jalan West who had 8 points in the 3rd after being held scoreless in the first half. To start the fourth, a 3-point barrage by Galloway and Northwestern State signee Patrick Robinson put the 'Saders up 10. Galloway finished the run with a tomahawk dunk. As the quarter kept going, CLA held it's own as it controlled the rest of the game and took home the victory, but not before Bossier tried to make it a game late. CLA's Galloway led the way with 19 points while Devonte Francis had 16 for Bossier.
