Old Reserve players mesh with new team

After the first foul was called in the first quarter of Monday's game between Riverside and Covington, the Riverside public address announcer announced, "Foul on Reserve Christian's Cedric Jenkins. His first personal foul, first on Reserve."

After Reserve Christian shut down last year, the acclaimed basketball program migrated down the street to Riverside Academy. Coach Tim Byrd, Reserve's former coach, now is in charge of the entire Riverside athletic department.

Riverside's varsity basketball team now has 13 players from Reserve, and five remaining from last year's program.
