Tioga High rolls past Bolton 94-31 in prep basketball season opener

TIOGA -- Tioga High flashed some brilliance, and Bolton High struggled mightily in Tioga's 94-31 victory in the season-opening high school basketball game for both boys teams Tuesday night.


Tioga scored the game's first 10 points, raced to a 45-14 lead at the half and played its third string for most of the fourth period.

"They wanted to score 100, but I didn't want us to score 100," said Tioga coach Gene Wright, who freely substituted throughout the contest as the Indians spread the scoring among 15 different players.

Senior guard Matt Thorne led the way with 20 points, and seniors Rodney Williams and Jamie Arnett each tossed in 10 points.
